Christopher Eyles Guy Bowen (born 17 January 1973) is an Australian politician who has been Minister for Climate Change and Energy in the Albanese government since June 2022. [1] He is a member of the Australian Labor Party (ALP) and was first elected to parliament at the 2004 federal election.
Biography Parliamentary service. Elected to the House of Representatives for Prospect, New South Wales, 2004. Re-elected 2007. Elected to the House of Representatives for McMahon, New South Wales, 2010, following electoral redistribution.
Chris has been responsible for a range of significant policy reform programs in these portfolios. He served as Interim Leader of the Labor Party and Acting Leader of the Opposition following the 2013 Federal election and served as Shadow Treasurer. He is now the Minister for Climate Change and Energy.
