2020年9月30日 · 2) Remove steering column trim. 3) Fight with the releases for the stock airbag. 4) Possibly make a custom tool out of an old screwdriver for the release tabs. 5) Disconnect electrical connections and remove stock airbag. 6) Make sure wheels are straight, then remove the mounting bolt--I believe it's 21mm. 7) Install new steering wheel.

Before anyone starts, Yes I know all of the short comings of having Alcantara.I owned (Still technically do) a 2013 Boss 302. They come with an Alcantara steering wheel and that's what I base my experience on. For me I enjoy the tactile feel I get from the wheel now.

I seen aftermarket wheels but they look exactly as the stock ones, just with different stitching and a different logo at the 6 o clock position. any luck to a how to? or even if its possible to have a aftermarket griproyal style wheel??

2022年2月28日 · I have an aftermarket quick release Sparco steering wheel, and I also have a Stratified tune, so I can change maps on the fly with cruise control buttons. I want to remove the OEM steering wheel (and don't worry I am installing a harness), but I want to keep cruise control buttons, i've seen this done on a focus RS before but Im not quite sure how he pulled it off, if anyone has done this ...

2020年12月18日 · The heated steering wheel option requires a lot of "stuff". Firstly the wheel itself has to have the additional heater wiring and connectors in it, so you will probably need a replacement wheel from a car that had the option originally.

2023年10月30日 · Got under the car and started moving things around. When rotating the drivers side axle, the clicking was present and super loud… didn’t matter where the steering wheel was turned. So looking like I need a new cv axle. Thankfully they aren’t too expensive!

2020年6月26日 · I've seen on some ST steering wheels that they have extra controls which mine doesn't have. All I have are the round ones that're built into it, but no auxiliary controls. I'm wondering what they're for. By the looks of it the right hand one has something to do with mobile phones, but what's the left hand one for?

2022年10月3日 · The leather-wrapped wheel was in a car that was sitting in the sun for who knows how long, and likely had water damage, but it was cheap ($10 IIRC). I unbolted it, and took it to a leather repair shop (they repair leather shoes, handbags and coats) and it came out pretty well ($30 for the refurbishing service).

2018年8月20日 · Hey guys. My steering wheel on my 2015 ST1 is starting to get chewed up at the 10 o' **** position on the top of the steering wheel. I have the flat bottom wheel and I am having trouble finding a steering wheel cover for my car since they all seem to be for round bottom wheels. Has anyone seen or know of any covers that would work for the flat bottom steering wheels? LMK! Thanks!

2022年5月4日 · On the pfl cars, the airbag is a bit of a pita to remove from the wheel (much easier on fl design). Other than that, this is straightforward. If swapping out a pfl wheel for a fl wheel, you will have additional things to consider, including steering wheel control compatibility and cruise control compatibility.
