Tequila Herradura (officially Grupo Industrial Herradura) is a tequila distillery located in Amatitán, Jalisco, Mexico. It was formally founded in 1870 by Aurelio López and the business remained in the family for over 125 years.

This is a working distillery, which is also part of the original distillery dating back to the late 1800's. Big hacienda, oven building housing the multitude of ovens, stainless steel piping to the distillation vessels, a real mixture of old world and modern technology.

Herradura Tequila Based in Amatitán, Jalisco, Mexico, Herradura began its life in 1870 with Félix López, who began as the distillery administrator. In 1870, López took over the distillery and registered it as a tequila producer under the name Hacienda San José del Refugio, and built a facility that remained in use until 1963.
