I just want something light to doodle on save hefting my Jazz every time I get the urge. I played one once and thought it sounded quite good. I'm not expecting that Fender tone, but a bit of Grunt or fuzz would be good!

2013年10月10日 · The GIO line is entry level and it shows, their B string is unbelievably sloppy to the point it is almost unplayable. The bass isn't worth much more than $100 now, if that, so if you put in another $100 you have a $200 bass that is worth $100 on a good day. If you insist on modding that particular bass, start by changing the pickup.

2022年11月24日 · I have an Ibanez GSR200 bass that I actually use for the handful of songs that my band plays in drop tunings and, in my opinion, the stock pickups truly suck. I consider them to be virtually unusable, which is why I swapped them out for the EMG Geezer set and just that one change has made this bass into a pretty decent workhorse instrument.

2010年10月2日 · The GIO is an entry model. A decent replacement neck will cost about the same price as a new GIO bass. You need to go cheap and be inventive. Fender style won't work well, dimensions are completely different.

2022年6月12日 · Package deal today online local sale. Ibanez and a GK 112. I cleaned up this well used Gio and was pleasantly impressed. I unplugged my very nice but modern and polite 92 MIJ SR800 and hooked up this Gio — great sound! Lots of grind and snappy response even with old strings. Hotter output than the SR.
