The Juche Tower (more formally, the Tower of the Juche Idea), completed in 1982, is a monument in Pyongyang, the capital of North Korea, and is named after the ideology of Juche introduced by the country's first leader, Kim Il Sung.

The Juche tower, named after the ideology of Kim Il sung is over 170 meters tall and looks out over the river Taedong. It gives great views of the Kim il sung square, the May day stadium, and you can even see the Ryugyong hotel in the background.
