Ketura (Hebrew: קְטוּרָה) is a kibbutz in southern Israel. Located north of Eilat in the Aravah Valley, it falls under the jurisdiction of Hevel Eilot Regional Council . In 2022 it had a population of 509.

We are a fully "cooperative" kibbutz, and the dining room provides 3 meals/day. We accept healthy young people (mostly, but not all, Jewish, single, ages 18-30) able to do physical work as required for AT LEAST 3 months.

While many members work on the kibbutz in service branches such as daycare and after-school programming, food service, landscaping, and maintenance, others are involved in businesses such as our date orchards and our tourism enterprise.

I live on Kibbutz Ketura – a medium sized kibbutz about 30 minutes north of Eilat. A pluralistic community, Ketura falls into a happy medium which is so hard to find among kibbutzim: a kibbutz mixed with observant and secular people.

Ketura was founded by a small group of young North Americans, graduates of the Young Judaea Yearcourse (a gap year program), at the close of the Yom Kippur War in November 1973. The first years of the kibbutz's existence were marked by great difficulties and frustrations, leading many of the founders to leave.
