She's also watchable, she has on screen charisma regardless of her acting style, a combination of silent screen dramatics and great lady of the theater poses but dialed down enough to play to the camera rather than the back row balcony of a Broadway house.

"Peeping Tom" was excellent, I believe it was the last movie Moira Shearer made. Damn near destroyed Powell's career. God that woman is beautiful. Loved "Black Narcissus" on every level and getting to see Sabu was magnificent!

2015年8月15日 · Norma Shearer is great in her very early talkies, when she was still slim and pretty sexy. But once she married Thalberg she always played excruciatingly noble roles, and became too much a "great lady" like Greer Garson (an actress I cannot stand). It also didn't help that she became a little thicker.
