2016年9月23日 · You have a lot on your mind with your upcoming surgery. Having one ostomy can be challenging let alone two. The standard practice when getting a double ostomy is to do an offset. The reason is if you ever need to wear a 1 inch pouch belt for one pouching system it might cross over the other stoma and/or pouch and possibly impede outflow.

Like Carol, I wear either the ostomy underwear or double up regular underwear by wearing a low-cut pair under a high-cut pair. That gives the pocket effect but isn't quite as comfortable as the ostomy underwear.
