2013年1月25日 · Face and turn one end to 0.3125 x 1.5 long. Then mount the 0.3125 end in the cnc lathe and turn the ball. For turning the ball end I would be using a 0.094 wide top notch carbide insert with a full radius on the tip. The cnc lathe it would be turned on is the size of a sherline so I would not be able to hog off the rough cuts.

2010年2月21日 · A bull nose will hold up better and allow you to take off much more material than a ball nose for roughing where you don't care about surface finish. Uh, I just ran an aluminum part with a .25 radius around the top of a hole, and a 5/8 bullnose cutter with a .030 rad.

2012年7月4日 · Size of the Nose Radius 3. Direction of the Nose Radius. Obviously the Tool Offset values are a given, don't set them up and no chance of getting size on your job. Size of the Nose Radius will tell the program how much to compensate the position of the tool to allow the edge of the radius to touch the profile. Refer to the post above.

2012年6月26日 · Hello. Need programming help for fanuc controlled lathe with 321 corner triangle insert. The part is 1.03 long but after radius will be 1.00 long. The dia. is 1.125.
