Most Subspecies being the results of monsters adapting to different environments and developing new abilities, I don't think these hybrid monsters are capable of evolving enough to make subspecies. Maybe in a way, Garuga is a subspecies in itself? Either as a hybrid of Yian Kut-ku and Rathian or maybe as just a much more feral Yian Kut-ku.

2019年9月13日 · Stuff like Yama’s wind tunnel attack, ukanlos’ ice beam, white fatalis’ lightning etc. I think scarred legitimately has the most interesting and fun moveset of any garuga iteration, and while it might not be as difficult as 140 guild garuga, it’s pretty much on par with deadeye and is damn fast and aggressive.

2019年9月4日 · The yian garuga more than makes for having relatively less raw strength with his speed and ferocity. Their nature is possibly the most violently psychotic of all monsters. It's because of this unmatched fury and ruthlessness that yian garuga are capable of 'punching above their weight level' so to speak.

Yian garuga feels like a Kut-ku got pissed off about being called easy, did a hellish Rocky- style training montage (with some hot Rathian action on the side) and came back with a vengeance to torment us all. I'm just sad that such an menacing looking monster gets armor that is goofy at best and butt ugly at it's worst.

To further give insight to this, it follows Yian Kut Ku because they eat the same prey and Kut Ku is better at uncovering and retrieving that food source so Garuga will follow and take it from Kut Ku by chasing it off.

Pretty sure there isn't one. It's just a monster that is closely related to Kut-Ku, but far more aggressive and with a highly developed poisonous tail. 4U's Garuga intro shows that they do not get along, so Garuga are probably similar to real life birds of prey which will kill and eat smaller birds if they get the chance.
