You can simply go to a concert at the Philharmonie, spontaneously, during your lunch break – and with free admission: every Wednesday at 1 pm between September and June.Then the foyer of the main auditorium fills up for the lunch concert with a mixed audience of all ages, from Berlin tourists to business people.

Kirill Petrenko has been chief conductor and artistic director of the Berliner Philharmoniker since the 2019/20 season. Born in Omsk in Siberia, he received his training first in his home town and later in Austria.
