His '03-'09 series Pluto is getting an adaption ( announced in 2017). Except for Yawara! all of the adaptations came after the mangas had finished. As long as the 20th Century Boys manga remains popular it is just mater of time.

2020年11月15日 · How 20th Century Boys never received an anime is beyond me. Although I read/watched Monster first and thus prefer it, I think they are nearly on par in terms of quality of story. Just mention you kind of like it and they will call you an "elitist". I don't think that the nowadays anime fans can appreciate 20th Century Boys.

2017年3月10日 · It is a slow burner, whereas you get twists and turns a-plenty in the first few chapters of 20th Century Boys, Monster's initial hook didn't quite grab me. But the character development over the course of the series, in my humble opinion, supercedes 20th Century Boys. It is fantastic, I've got 4 volumes left and I can't wait to finish it.

2024年1月26日 · I read 20th Century Boys before Monster and really loved both, but I'm going to have to give the win the 20th Century Boys. Honestly, it's currently my favorite manga that I've ever read. It's just a little more bizarre and less grounded in reality than Monster. A lot of the storytelling is very nostalgic and almost coming-of-age.
