2021年4月11日 · With GPUs, typically, the bigger the piece of silicon, the higher the core (Nvidia)/shader (Radeon) count, the higher the performance. 3060 Ti's GPU is better than that of 3060 (4864 vs 3584 CUDA cores), thus offering more performance at any given clock. It's just much wider. Faster GPUs need more memory bandwidth.

Man i do 1080p on 165hz gaming and my 3080 is overkill apparently. In my humble opinion yes. Also think 3060 is 12gb vram vs ti at 8. And the reg 3060 lower clock speeds and bus speeds. I think v ram is needed more than the few mzh difference between the 2. But anyone that knows better can correct me.

I'm going off what we got with 30 Series. $499 3070 more or less matched the 2080 Ti for $800-$1200. $399 3060 Ti more or less matched and beat 2080 Super in a lot of instances at $699 MSRP. 3060 is ~7% slower than 2070 Super, but better perfomance per watt and more efficient.

The 3060 has a 192-bit configuration, which limited the choice of vram between 6 gb and 12 gb, so nvidia chose 12. The 3060 Ti has a 256-bit memory bandwidth configuration, which is not only faster but allows for 8 gb or 16 gb of vram. So even if the 3060 has more vram, it is slower than the vram on the 3060 Ti.

2023年2月13日 · The 12gb on the 3060 is purely a marketing scheme. not really, the 3060 uses 6 memory modules, which means in order to keep the bus width the same at 192 bit, it either has to have 6x1gb modules for 6gb vram, or 6x2gb modules for 12gb ram so it was either 6gb or 12gb, and seeing as 6gb wasnt really going to cut it, they had to use 12gb

2022年4月22日 · A 3060 won't be significantly better than a 1080, but at significantly more cost than you'll be able to sell your current GPU for. The ti might be more expensive, but it's actually a meaningful upgrade for the cost.

2022年4月18日 · 3060 ti is the performance you’d want. 3060 is more 1080p. 3060 ti runs well on 1440P, recently switched from a EVGA RTX 3060 XC 12GB, to a Zotac RTX 3060 Ti 8GB OC LHR. Huge boost in performance for 1440P, as I’ve also undervolted the card a little bit.

Unless VRAM capacity is a concern, the 3060 Ti is significantly faster than the vanilla 3060. And the 3060 has the slower 192-bit GDDR6 memory bus, vs. the significantly faster 256-bit GDDR6x bus on the Ti.
