2012年3月10日 · FN themselves announced 3 SHOT shows ago that they would have a 5.7x28 bolt gun out soon, but that obviously never happened. Then a few months ago Savage announced theirs, but it appears they abandoned it in favor of 17 Hornet. When FN failed to deliver I decided to build my own, man do I love that gun.

The discontinued Elite Ammo S4M round is clocked between 2500-2600 fps, weather depending, out of a Five-seveN and there are multiple other current production options well over 2000fps out of a 5" barrel.

2020年3月26日 · The current 5.7x28 handgns are to large for practical Concealed EDC , just tall long hanguns ! Besides a 40gr bullet 1600 to 1700fps ain't nutt'n special . 65gr 9mm extreme defender from underwood is a +P rated load and makes 1800 fps but still only 468 ft lbs energy .

2024年11月14日 · I have owned two of the FN 5.7x28 pistols and recently picked up a TISAS PX5.7 Absolutely great shooter. I finally finished setting up to reload for it. Despite all the drivel on the web about the negatives to even trying to load these....With care to detail and following some procedures these bad boys can be loaded easily..

2010年11月24日 · Ballistically it (4" pistol) is not much better than the .22 mag in a RIFLE. Now the 10mm is a solid SD performer and a solid hunting round to boot - and I say that as a dedicated .45acp guy. 2025年1月6日 · As a long-time owner of a Five-seveN pistol, and as a brand new (finally!) owner of a PS90, I'm glad to see 5.7 gaining some steam in the market. An increased supply of 5.7 ammo means lower prices and increased availability.

2024年9月4日 · [Cartridge comparison, L_R: .45ACP, 9mm Luger, 5.7x28] My trial experience had my holes all over the target. Not faulting the pistol, rather faulting my lack of familiarity with it. The front sight sits loosely in the rear sight window, so unless I concentrated on where the front sight was on the target, my holes drifted.
