2006年11月4日 · Power brakes became standard equipment in 1976. The power brake option was included with the Super Sport & Z28 option as standard equipment. All Camaros came with front disc and rear drum brakes. Rear disc brakes were not offered on the Camaro (they were available, and are often swapped from late 70's Trans Ams with WS6).

All 2nd gen Camaro batterys were side mount styles. Batterys up until 1975 had caps and required maintenance. Standard battery was an R79, with optional being R89. The Delco Freedom sealed battery debuts in 1976. The 6-cylinder battery was rated at 2300 watts - 45 amps. Standard V8 battery was rated at 2900 watts - 61 amps.

Second Generation Camaro Owners Group - Camaro Dashboard Restoration Camaro dashes come in a couple styles, 1970 - 1978, in either A/C or non-AC styles. 1979 - 1981 dashes are different from the earlier style, and they'll fit either a/c or non-a/c. Camaro dashes are notorious for warping right in front of the passenger side.

In 1970 the rear end was built in both 10 and 12 bolt versions. In 1971, GM instituted a standardized "corporate" rear axle. This rear end was available in a 10 bolt version only. 2000年10月22日 · Jumping in the Camaro when used to another vehicle was something to readjust to, steering wise. I think 70-74 and 77-79 boxes were the same on the stock ps option and the Z28 option. I can NEVER find any Z28's in the junkyards EVER, but lots of Firebirds and Trans Am's, so I guess those of us that have 2nd gens other than a 77+ Z28 will just ...
