The Alvis Speed 20 is a British touring car that was made between late 1931 and 1936 by Alvis Car and Engineering Company in Coventry. It went through four variants coded SA to SD. In October 1935 the Speed 20 was supplemented by a 3½-litre car initially sold alongside their Speed 20 SD and named 3½-litre SA.

The triple-carburettor 2,655cc six-cylinder 87bhp engine was silky smooth, its rubber mountings and harmonic balancer making the Speed 20 a joy to drive. With sufficient power to top almost 90mph, the Alvis was the measure of most cars on the road, especially with its low centre of gravity and powerful brakes.

This is the first Speed 20 open tourer built by Vanden Plas and the third 20SA produced. An historic vehicle with unrestored bodywork showing the scars of life. A very rare opportunity indeed having changed family ownership only once in the last 70 years.
