2024年7月8日 · Alvor is right in the heart of the Algarve. A small fishing village full of tradition and beautiful landscapes to see. Located very close to Lagos, Alvor, belongs to Portimão and is closer to the ocean side (west) than to Spain’s side ( in the east).

Choose from the several cafés, all with open-air terraces and enjoy the views across the Ria Alvor. There is a small marina that offers boat trips and from the river walkway there are pathways to the mudflats and marshland which make the estuary …

Despite being such a small town in the shade of Portimão, there are loads of things to do in Alvor Portugal and it’s not surprising it’s such a popular place to stay in Algarve for couples looking for a quiet retreat.
