Apr 24, 2023 · I think this is very fitting for Aragorn. It's a sword that was originally made very well, but has seen a hard life and not been handled well. He is used to his own gear that he was taught to care for, so to him it's abhorrent, but to the scared kid fighting for his life it is a good sword and the morale boost is more important than any blade.

In an all hands on deck battle even a rusty AK47 with a burnt out barrel is better than running into battle with nothing but your dick out and a wooden spoon in your hand. At least the fucked up AK can be useful as cover fire. Likewise a half rusted away sword with good balance can easily be a good bludgeon even if it can't cut.
