My Maps - this provides a list of all the maps you have installed in the app; Layers - this provides a list of all of the map features (points, lines, tracks, areas) that you have within the app; Store - this is the Avenza Map Store where you can download a variety of free and paid maps

The Avenza Maps app uses Google Play Services in the app, for the Avenza Map Store and other elements of the app as well. You will continue to be able to use other sections of the app. If you have any questions please feel free to contact our Support team.

Try logging out and logging back into the Avenza Maps app, this sometimes resets your maps and they will start downloading. Delete all maps that are failing to download from the My Maps page. In order to use an external GPS device on an Android device, you must set the "Mock Location app" for the device to use. This setting is available in your device settings, separate from Avenza Maps, and requires you to enable Developer Mode.

I fully support the request for integrating Avenza Maps into Apple CarPlay. As someone who frequently navigates back roads while hunting and fishing, having access to detailed offline maps is essential for safety and convenience.

From here, much of the app is at your fingertips, including (but not limited to) the ability to view downloaded/imported maps, download/import new maps, search through your existing maps, check for map updates, as well as sign in to your Avenza Maps account.

Avenza Maps has two different compass options when viewing a map. Follow-mode, and Compass-mode. When the compass is enabled, as shown above, the default is Follow-mode (map is in the default orientation, and the crosshair will follow your movement).
