2015年12月8日 · Hi all, my dad recently got a new car and didn't think to check the spec for a cd player. Is it possible to buy an external CD reader (quite cheap online designed for laptops) and plug into the USB port in the car for the sound to run through the cars speakers? Thanks!

2017年5月7日 · The problem you may have is that a portable CD player may not have sufficient buffering to compensate for the motion of the car. Early car CD players were pretty bad that way. Skipped all the time. I would suggest that you rip your CDs to mp3 files and use a USB stick to access them. Lots more convenient although the sound won't be as good.

2018年6月2日 · I don't even want one. The other car has USB ports which we use to listen to music. That car has no iPod connector. Only USB sticks can be used in my wife's car. I would like that same USB functionality in my car.

2018年9月18日 · You can rip the book CDs to mp3 files and play them from a USB stick if your car has a USB port. Or put them on your phone. Send them to the car stereo with bluetooth or connect the headphone out of the phone to the aux input of the car stereo. You can buy a portable CD player and connect that to the car stereo if it has an aux input.
