Affinity is one of the main characteristics that influence Champion's Skills and damage output in a battle. Every Champion in RAID: Shadow Legends has one of four Affinities, each associated with a color. Magic is blue, Spirit is green, Force is red, and Void is purple. So the symbol is a useful addition to the Champion thumbnail portraits when in the Champions menu in-game. I just wish the devs had also added the symbol to the Champion thumbnail portraits when they are shown in the Fusion tab in the Portal menu in-game.
