Francis Freeman (also known as Ajax) is a supervillain appearing in American comic books published by Marvel Comics. Created by writer Joe Kelly and artist Walter A. McDaniel, the character first appeared in Deadpool #14 (March 1998).

Francis Freeman, better known as Ajax, was an enemy of Deadpool. He was a British mutate whose powers allowed him to not only be impervious to pain, but have superhuman physical attributes. He, along with his henchwoman, Angel, ran a private organization called the Workshop.

Taking the name Deadpool, Wilson knocked some guards unconscious, took their guns and went to find Francis. He found him once again ordering the inmates by telling them the new rules in the facility. When Francis saw that Wilson was alive once again, he immediately attacked him.

He also has a slightly insecure side to his personality, as he is sensitive about his real name (Francis) and admits to being jealous of Deadpool's healing factor.
