Wildflowers are a beautiful sight in the campground's meadows around July. Swim or paddle in the quiet waters of the . non-motorized lake, go for a great hike with views of multiple Cascade peaks, or just kick back and relax in the campground.

Gold Lake, situated in an open alpine forest, is a popular spot in both summer and winter. Although gas motors are not allowed on this small (100 acre, 25 feet deep) lake, electric motors (slow no-wake speed only), canoes, rafts and rowboats provide excellent fishing access.

Daly Lake Trail #3385 Anglers will like this trail for its easy access to and around a lake, that is stocked each spring with catchable trout. A mature true fir forest surrounds the lake.

Piety Island Campground is located on Detroit Lake with easy boat-in access from the northeast side of the island. In the winter, depending on water levels and weather conditions sites are available on a walk-in basis. All of the campsites offer great views of Detroit Lake.

Visitors enjoy fishing, boating on the lake, and hiking on the nearby Stahlman Point Trail. Several hiking trails dot the area, including Stahlman Point Trail , which offers vistas of Detroit Lake and the surrounding area.

Wading and fishing are popular activities in the Breitenbush River, and rainbow trout is the most common catch for anglers. Nearby Detroit Lake provides plenty of opportunity for water recreation like boating, water skiing and kayaking.
