2024年2月6日 · Since problem stays at TV then it is something local to the connections and not the DirecTV box. Check for any firmware/software updates for the TV. Make sure neither DirecTV box or TV is plugged into a 'smart' power strip. If TV has HDMI-CEC turn it off. Oh and make sure no other HDMI devices are plugged into the TV.

It is a Client with two different firmware loads, one for DirecTV (satellite, so functions similar to a Mini Genie Client) and the other for DIRECTV STREAM / DirecTV by Internet. It is a box that connects by an HDMI cable to the TV, not simply a stick that plugs into the port.

2023年12月29日 · Your response says the regular non stream DirectTV app works on Samsung smart TVs but some articles online say it doesn’t and I called direct tv yesterday and the agent clearly said a few times that the DirectTV app only works with AndroidTV’s such as Hisense or Sony. 2024年11月9日 · The old separate apps for DirecTV and DIRECTV STREAM were discontinued. There is now one app for both services, but only if your device is compatible. Historically their apps don't work well with the 'smart' TV versions. Better to have a dedicated streaming device (Roku, Firestick, etc.).
