Best to not bother it too much, one time i have taken a female Phidippus adumbratus out its web trying to pair her with a male thinking she is mature, she wasn't receptive so I put her back.

In my experience, if the spider has managed to complete the molt, it's out of the "danger zone" and should be perfectly fine. Most mismolts involve the spider being unable to molt completely and dying as a result of being stuck.

2011年3月28日 · I dunno, when jumping spiders molt, they do it within the safety of their silk retreats. I've never seen any of my jumpers molt out in the open. Sounds like it's dying, to me. I hope that isn't the case, though. If she was in the silk retreat when you found her curled up, then it's possible she's molting if she isn't already an adult.
