Josiah died and Jeho ahaz is made King for 3 months (2 Kings 23:30, 2 Chron. 36:1). After just 3 months, Jehoahaz is taken captive to Egypt and Judah is put under tribute. Then Eliakim, the son of Josiah (who was named Jehoiakim by Pharoah ), is put in rule by Pharoah.

Josiah (/ dʒoʊˈsaɪ.ə /) [1][2] or Yoshiyahu[a] was the 16th King of Judah (c. 640 –609 BCE). According to the Hebrew Bible, he instituted major religious reforms by removing official worship of gods other than Yahweh.

He states that he ministered under King Josiah (chapter 1:1), who reigned from 640 to 609 B.C. Nineveh’s destruction, which came in 612, is referred to as a future event, indicating that Zephaniah’s work preceded this date.
