When pressing the Play Button in the bottom right corner of the screen, all the Play Blocks will start simultaneously. Example: This program uses the Play Block with the Light Block. When the program starts, the Light Block will play and turn the Light yellow. This block is used to program the Color Sensor. It checks what color is in front of it.

The Tilt Block is used to check the Built-in Gyro sensor on the LEGO® Technic™ Small Hub. The block will play all the blocks that are attached to it if the Hub is tilted to the chosen side. The block can check if the Hub is tilted forward, backward, left, right, any of those directions, or lying flat.

The SPIKE App is a student-facing app that can be used with both SPIKE Essential and SPIKE Prime to follow and complete lessons. The app includes “getting started” material, lessons, building instructions, and a series of coding experiences that progress from icon- and word-block coding based on Scratch to text-based coding based on Python.
