2007年1月8日 · This is the first plain fanuc control I have used. Typically I'm used to Haas controls on the other cnc lathe. I've got a couple of what are hopefully easy questions. The manuals aren't very thorough on programming, mostly just machine setup and lube. It is listed as M13 turns on the live tool.

2020年11月25日 · Looking at options for a new twin turret twin spindle turning centre, one thing that'd be really handy for us is high RPM live tooling as our work is 95% aluminium with lots of small milled pockets. Most lathes seem to have 6000rpm max live tooling unless you want to spring for a B axis milling head where 12-20k options seem abundant.

2020年2月21日 · Well, a lathe and a mill together in a cell can pump work out faster than one machine that is a combination of both. Milling setup on a live-tool lathe is slower as well unless you spend some real big money for KM or Capto tooling. However there is a big value in parts coming off complete and it's definitely easier to automate that way.

2018年1月28日 · I just purchased a wasino lj-6 with a fanuc controller and have not been able to test the live tooling out. In MDI I have typed in g97 s1000 t500m13 and could not make it turn. I tried this with c axis engaged and without. Do's anyone know if my code is the problem or is there some silly little thing I am missing somewhere. Thank you for your time.

2006年12月12日 · This machine is a 3" bar capacity, Y axis, sub spindle machine. Fanuc 18i control. With servo magazine barfeed, tooling package (about 50% of what we needed), 4 live tools, set up on the shop floor it was about 230K. I assume you are talking about something like a Mazak Integrex.

2008年3月5日 · Live tooling in a lathe, IMHO, just doesn't feel right. Sure, there are many jobs that these machines make into timesavers, but "quality parts" is not what comes to mind. We have a couple of them here, Mazaks QT200 & QT250, but milling a simple flat with these seems to take forever, and we get just too much variation in anything that's milled.

2018年7月23日 · Live tooling c/y axis lathe is a new concept to me. I've been working on a program, and have been struggling. My machine builder is telling me that all C axis moves should be incremental, which seems wrong to me, but alas is does work.

2018年2月3日 · Thinking about buying a 5th lathe to add capacity at my shop, but doesn’t have to be this one. First I’d like to know if it compares well to the quality of Okuma’s fully Japanese models. The components are made in Japan, but assembled in Taiwan. Second, I’m trying to decide whether my next lathe should come with live tooling.

2012年3月15日 · I have a buddy who needs to mill a 3/8 hex where the corners blend into a .430 diameter with a .016 radius. I was wondering if anyone had a sample of the code on this. I have seen it done in videos but thats about it. The control will be a fanuc 21
