Not 2nd generation or atypical AP’s. It seems more like an aka reference rather then a fact.

2022年4月9日 · I’m on two “major tranquilizers” but neither drug me up (400mg amisulpride and 5mg haloperidol). The ones that made me feel really drugged up were clozapine and seroquel. Been on all those yes clozapine was the strongest, i decided to come off it after 8 months. I like Clopixol but my head very foggy often.

2022年11月22日 · All I can think of is that antipsychotics are known as “Major Tranquilizers” Benzodiazepines (Valium, Klonopin, etc…) are known as “Minor Tranquilizers” I have no information to back this up but perhaps your psychosis isn’t as severe as others and the minor tranquilzing effect of a benzo is enough to help you.

2023年4月18日 · I’ve had OCD all my life basically, and the only medication that touched it has been 100mg of prozac, which is a super high dosage. I have not noticed any side effects, but really, with as much medication as I am on, I’m positive that the medication doesn’t show side effects because the major tranquilizers do it already.

2021年11月17日 · They first put me on an MAO inhibitor and Trilafon when I was 27. Now I am nearly 63 years old. Trilafon is not in the same class, I don’t think, as the major tranquilizers - the typical antipsychotics. Trilafon did cut down on my physical endurance. I used to do 2,000 repetitions on the jump rope and run three miles every day.
