Mlawula Nature Reserve This wild reserve lies to the east of the MR3, north of Simunye, and is managed by the Swaziland National Trust Commission. Its savannah and woodland mosaic is flanked to the east by the Lubombo mountains and to the north by the Mbuluzi river.

The reserve consists of three distinct ecological zones, the Ndzindza plateau, the Siphiso Valley and the rhyolite ridges on the western boundary. Mlawula offers rare opportunities for visitors to walk self-guided on the trails through the bushveld.

The reserve lies within the transitional zone between two biogeographic regions, the dry thorn savannas of the west, and the moister coastal thickets of the east. 2015年2月17日 · The reserve is best known for Magadzavane Lodge just outside Siteki. These chalets are really lovely, most not self catering. However very willing management and kitchen staff. Great views, prices very reasonable. We were different. Entered the Park from the far east, near Simunye, and drove through the valley up to the Lodge and Siteki.
