North Jetty Beach Park offers to visitors the opportunity to watch the boats pass through the channel from the Intracoastal Waterway to the Gulf of Mexico. This park is also a popular fishing spot, where changing tides yield their catch to patient beach-goers.

Carefully climb up on the riprap and watch big freighters going through the channel and (sometimes) huge waves breaking on the jetty rocks. Sometimes you'll see a seal also, and plenty of gulls - no bouys though.

Nokomis' North Jetty Beach is the beach for the casual charm of yesterday's Florida. Located at the southernmost end of Casey Key, this is where you settle yourself on a bench, or go for a stroll along the jetty, enjoying the slower pace atmosphere of "Old Florida".

The North Jetty, on the southern end of the Bolivar Peninsula, is one of two built into the Gulf of Mexico to provide protection of the channel to the Port of Galveston, Port of Texas City and The Port of Houston.

Thanks to its secluded location and excellent cleanliness, North Jetty Beach is the perfect spot to relax in the sand and watch the boats off-shore. Swimming in the turquoise water is no problem, either.

North Jetty Park sits at the south end of Casey Key and is a wonderful place for a reunion, celebration or family picnic under the tall shady pines and so close to the beach!
