Best High PPI Displays - [H]ard|Forum
2019年9月7日 · The LG Ultrafine 5K is an excellent monitor if you have a Thunderbolt 3 source. It's my top choice for image quality. Really outstanding to use with a Mac. I switched to the LG Ultrawide 5K2K monitor. The PPI is lower than the 5K Ultrafine, but it's only really noticeable when you have them side by side.
1080p for a 32" monitor? - [H]ard|Forum
2016年4月3日 · Really, the ppi of the monitors we used "back in the day" was horrid compared to a 27" 1080p, so people saying that they "can't stand it" is just pure hyperbole. But going back and forth as frequently as I do, I understand where they're coming from.
Ideal pixel density for a 4k monitor? - [H]ard|Forum
2012年7月5日 · 48" has the same PPI as a 24" 1080p (of course since a 4K monitor is 4x1080p tiled together), 92PPI. 44" has the same PPI as a 22" 1080p or a 30" 1600p, 100PPI 40" is 108PPI. I personally find even the 100PPI of 30" a bit small for my tastes with text, although maybe that's just old age.
Opinions Please: 38" 3840x1600 vs 42" 4K Monitor for Business 1st ...
2017年1月14日 · He wants a low PPI so he can read tiny text. The 38" monitors are basically the same pixels as three 1080P monitors (it's like two 1920x1080 monitors, side by side, but with 50% more vertical) It's a good format if your work is reading documents and you want a lower PPI (it's close to a 20-21" 1080P monitor or a 40-42" 4K monitor)
Understanding 4K monitor and OS scaling. Best size to have sharp …
2010年8月29日 · My 27" 1440p display has a ~109 PPI, which as the last poster said is workable without scaling. OP, I get the impression you have yet to see a 4k monitor in person, apologies if I'm wrong but don't understimate the math and the PPI factor. A 27" 4K display has a 160+ PPI, you would need serious scaling to make text readable.
A simple 4K question - monitor size and text size - [H]ard|Forum
2006年12月16日 · Unfortunately most displays have moved from 96-100 PPI to 110 PPI or higher as standard now. 30" 2560x1600 is ~100 PPI. A 43" 3840x2160 display is ~100 PPI so text should be approximately the same size as your previous display - though you would probably be sitting farther from it, so text may appear to be a bit smaller. 48" may work out to be ...
LG 29WK600 ultrawide monitor review - [H]ard|Forum
2018年10月19日 · Seeing that I'm going to have to wait a few years until HDR600 displays go down to around $500, this LG 29WK600 seemed like a good compromise: decent ppi, good refresh rate, useful for productivity and immersive for gaming; all while costing just $200 and doing all the monitor "basics" (brightness, contrast, color, response, adaptive sync ...
32" 4K, or 27" 4K - Can't decide - [H]ard|Forum
2009年10月6日 · I need a new monitor for work (and occasional movie watching). I don't game at all. I'm coming from a 22" 1080p screen, and I need more real estate. I should mention I'm over 60 and my vision isn't what it used to be. If I get a 27" 4K, the PPI will be 163, so text (on a good IPS screen anyway) should be super sharp at native resolution.
LG UltraGear OLED 45GR95QE-B - [H]ard|Forum
2022年12月12日 · Does anyone have any interest in the LG UltraGear OLED 45GR95QE-B? It's a 45" widescreen 3440x1440 resolution OLED gaming monitor. It's available for pre-order on LG's website right now (LG UltraGear OLED 45GR95QE-B). I'm loving the size but that resolution is so low. Based on the specs that equates to a PPI of only 84!
Best for Text (clarity & eye-strain) - [H]ard|Forum
2019年6月24日 · 1) What's the very best monitor to day (between 27 & 32 inches) for text clarity and lack-of-eye strain? I think ideally it would be high refresh rate, but I'm not sure about that. I'm assuming the higher the resolution, the better - or specifically higher ppi, the better (so 27in > 32in, if identical resolution).
