2023年3月8日 · Reindeer moss. Probably the most popular decorative lichen, and pretty common in the northern united states. If you want to grow it, treat it kinda like a tilandsia, but be prepared for it to die regardless. This ones fairly easy, but all lichens are super hard to keep.
Is this wolf lichen as a cake garnish? Isn't that toxic?
2024年4月21日 · It is a Cladonia sp., not Letharia. I would not recommend eating the Cladonia either (unless you are a reindeer), but it shouldn't do any harm just setting there.

2024年3月22日 · Lichens are slow-growing, so they are better established on old branches, especially branches that are already dead (because they get more light). They aren't killing the bushes. I have seen crepe myrtles that had extensive lichen growth completely covering the older branches, and they were still doing very well.

So if you bought a preserved lichen, then it will not grow. it is dead. but it has the same appearance for many years since it is preserved Also, if it is a live lichen, it will grow slow. So patient is key. you can ask seller whether it is alive or not. i dont know how to check ourselves
Does anyone know the spiritual meaning of reindeer lichen?
I've had this lichen for awhile and I'm very curious what spiritual significance it has. I've been trying to research online but I can only find what natural remedies you can make out of it. So I'd like to know if it has any spiritual meaning or not.
