2018年6月14日 · I regard the PC Carbine as a short-range weapon. As such, I have mine set to a 25 yard zero. Right now I'm running it with a 3x BDC carbine scope from Nikon, but I may change to a red-dot/reflex sight. At my rifle club, some of the PC Carbine guys are using their rifles to "plug" 6" steel plates at 100 yards . . . with boring regularity. - Brad

2019年8月15日 · Speer does not recommend the use of 147gr bullets for 9mm PCC reloading. This is probably due to most PCCs being a blowback action ala Hi-Point with the bolt pushing against a heavy weight, and NOT a locked breech like most 9mm pistols where the slide and barrel travel backwards, briefly, locked together, until pressure can drop to a safe level.

2023年8月11日 · I understand their thinking. The 9mm carbine is a very good short range option for most situations and a legal option in a large number of places. (Straight wall case, semi auto, magazine controlled capacity, lower noise, heavy drop rather soon in the bullets flight, available and cheap ceterfire ammunition). Same things I love about my Ruger.

Maddmatter197 shared some suggestions in my interdiction to the forum. I hope to get to the range in the next few days, but until then I have been trying to get a YouTube crash course on both the weapon and the sight.

2021年6月21日 · The Ruger PC Carbine 9mm comes with accommodation for two different types of magazines; the Ruger standard (SR-Series ) comes pre-installed, plus it ships with an adaptor for Glock magazines. I don't have any other 9mm firearms so cross-compatibility isn't my issue. I will want to purchase multiple magazines though.

2022年11月12日 · This is what I use on my Ruger PCC9 19106 (Ruger® PC Carbine™ Autoloading Rifle Model 19106). It is a Primary Arms 1X prism scope with green 9mm reticle. Prism scopes are not as problematic for astigmatism and other vision issues like "old eyes."

2022年12月11日 · Wife got a new Pc carbine 9mm for Christmas. Took it out to shoot using cheap blazer aluminum. Using factory mags. Ran a couple of mags through it. It was putting all empties in a 2 foot circle. She was loving it. Then switched to better; brass cased; ammo to see what it’s most accurate with and the problems started. Hornady custom 124gr.

2023年10月28日 · A carbine will extend 9mm range but beyond bow range even a carbine is inadequate. Reloading will improve things a bit but the ballistics are what they are. 9mm isn't consistently suitable for hunting anything bigger than a rabbit. 9mm has killed deer, coyotes and even a few pigs but overall it's a lousy choice for hunting.
