When you request a paper, if it's not already in the repository, Sci-Hub uses someone else's institutional access to get the paper. How Sci-Hub got those usernames and passwords is unknown.

2021年8月4日 · The reviewer can do this even if he or she is not assigned the paper. Not sure if it is accepted easily by the headquarters if they do so. I never tried but the platform allows this. You just need to give the MR number of your paper to the reviewer and they can manually enter the number in the platform and open the reviewing page for your paper.
