You start in SketchUp, draw your project and create scenes to show the different views. then you can send the file to LayOut, add dimensions, labels, other text, perhaps photos or whatever. then export a PDF file to send to a client or use it to do a presentation on screen.

2023年2月18日 · Or is it just to create the viewport in Layout? Yes. It’s this. If you hadn’t deleted the only viewport linked to the model this wouldn’t be needed. After you have the first viewport in the LayOut project, copy that viewport to make additional ones. Don’t copy from Sketchup and paste in LayOut and don’t insert the same SKP file again.

2016年1月3日 · Any changes to the scene that you make in LayOut override the scene from SketchUp. If you have changed the tag visibility for a viewport in LO that change will carry over when you change the scene unless you reset the Tags section. Relinking and updating have no impact on this at all. You need to reset the changes in the SketchUp Model panel.

2015年9月2日 · In LayOut you can use the Label tool to place a label on a face in a model viewport, and set it to display the face area. (I noticed a small bug - whatever units you want to use in your LayOut document, the label tool displays units used in the Sketchup model).

2016年3月2日 · There’s no reference to a sketchUp file in the LayOut file? But you still have viewports showing the model? Try right clicking on a viewport and selecting Open with SketchUp. If there’s a SketchUp file in the references, select it and choose Relink. Then navigate to the appropritate SKP file

2023年11月3日 · This used to take approx 20 seconds, now it is taking 1 minute 30 seconds to update model reference in Layout. I think this started after the update to version 31.1.341 I am a Mac user. I updated the OS to Sonoma today, and the problem has not improved. This makes working with layout whilst editing my Sketchup files massively frustrating and slow.
