Sodam Yat is a fictional character, an extraterrestrial superhero published by DC Comics. He first appeared in Tales of the Green Lantern Corps Annual #2 (1986), and was created by Alan Moore and Kevin O'Neill. [1] He operated as Ion, having become one of the most powerful characters in current continuity.

Sodam Yat is a Daxamite Green Lantern. Growing up, Sodam was fascinated by the stars and space, but was dis couraged by his parents. One day an alien named Tessog crashed on Daxam, and was befriended by Sodam. Due to the xenophobic nature of most Daxamites, Sodam Yat's parents had Tessog killed and Sodam brainwashed.
