We like the Suzuki's look, AWD capabilities and low price, but we have concerns about gas mileage (considering the small size of the SX4), and to some extent, the dealer network. Our Seattle-area dealer (actually way out in the 'burbs) seems to be running low on the automatic version of the 2009 crossover, and that's what we want.

The 2008 SX4 Crossovers are out! Test drove one last weekend and liked it very much. (Note that the new sedan is called the SX4 Sport - confusing with the 2007 SX4 hatchback having a version called "Sport") So far, it seems as if both kbb.com and edmunds.com only have invoice pricing for the sedan and not the 2008 SX4 Crossover.

Three days ago, I traded my red 2009 SX4 AWD Touring automatic Crossover for the 2010 Suzuki Kizashi SLS AWD CVT/auto-manual in platinum silver. In the past, I was a consummate car snob, only wanting to drive European cars like Saab, VW, BMW, and MB. Seriously, no one has ever accused me of being a Suzuki apologist.

Just got a 2008 SX4 Crossover w/Touring II, automatic. First tank of gas got me 23.6mpg. (About 75% city/25% highway.) Second tank of gas got me 27.7mpg. (About 10% city/90% highway.) Both with "gentle" driving. Hopefully this will improve somewhat as it breaks in more, but I'm not necessarily expecting a big difference.

I just purchased a 2009 sx4 at a Ford dealer and was told that there was satellite radio in the car - and it said as much on the sticker - "Satellite Radio" - NOT "Satellite Radio Ready" - but when I tried to get it activated I was told by the XM Sirius people that I don't have the tuner and will have to buy one - either an external one or the $400 install at a Suzuki dealer.
