Had to tow it back to dealership Toyota of Stockton and engine is toasted. Crankcase split without warning. I am now without a vehicle and forced to work on the 2009 Prius.

Watching you tube video's like "The Car Nut" indicates it may be valve stem seals or possibly piston seal rings; neither is an entertaining thought for a repair, as it would probably run me into the 3-5K range.
