Pushing the remote doesn’t release gate and neither does the button in the door. Any ideas on what’s up with this or how to fix it. Replaced the passenger side lift cylinder 3 months ago.

2017年1月9日 · If the times it fails is when it's cold, the problem could be worn out liftgate struts with insufficient gas pressure to lift the weight of the gate itself. Cold weather lowers the gas pressure... You might want to try unhooking the battery for an hour or so. Maybe the electronics will reset. You'll lose presets and stuff though.

To open the liftgate, press the touchpad on the handle on the outside of the liftgate, and lift the gate open. To close the liftgate, use the pull cup to lower the liftgate and close. With the power liftgate disabled, the liftgate electric latch will still power latch once contact is made with the striker. Always close the liftgate before driving.
