The valve index is still the best vr headset I have ever owned
VR HMDs/Headsets I've Owned: Quest 2, Quest 1, HP Reverb G2, Quest 3, Valve Index, Original Vive. Today marks my 1-year anniversary of owning a Valve Index! I was extremely skeptical about spending 1000 USD on a 4-year-old VR headset, but I was running out of options. Each headset I've used so far fell short in at least four different ways.
Valve Deckard - EVERYTHING We "Know" : r/virtualreality - Reddit
2022年10月20日 · Valve has been pretty forthright that they are working on new VR hardware. “Deckard” was also confirmed by Ars Technica to be true from internal Valve sources. Now, whether they actually release the Deckard is another story. But if you watch the video, there’s a lot that we do know about what they’ve been working on. I would not be so ...
Valve Index Owner Buys A Quest 3 - My Experience and Comparison
I think the Valve Index is still a great VR HMD for 2024, the experience is pretty close to the same on both HMD's. Quest 3 audio is OK but the Valve Index audio is great. For VRChat and Phasmophobia, I prefer the Valve Index for this reason alone. VR Render settings. Quest 3 2064x2272 = 4689408, Valve Index 2016x2240 = 4515840.

Have had 0 issues with vr for the past 2 years. 3080ti, i7 12700k windows 10 and didn't notice anything. But today I decided to update my drivers. It has been a long time since I did this, went from 512.95 to 552.22.
is the valve index still a relevant and reliable headset in 2024
Personally, I wouldn't want to buy a second-hand VR headset because of the fact you WEAR a VR headset, and they are difficult to wash/clean. As for the age of the Valve Index... sure the display tech is a bit outdated and there are higher resolution displays available now, but the Valve Index still has a few advantages worth mentioning vs other ...
What is the valve Deckard, and will we ever hear news about it?
2023年6月18日 · I use a quest 2 with the "Virtual Desktop" app to PC VR wirelessly for media consumption (youtube/tv shows/browsing) and pc games(vr/non-vr). But I do want to go for the best PC VR experience with almost no latency (with wire, hopefully a DP cable) and amazing lenses, so it sounds like the valve deckard might be good for me to just wait for ...
Do you recommend Valve Index in 2024 ? : r/virtualreality - Reddit
no, I have a valve index for 5 years, since the week it came out, the Q3 is better in many ways now. And wirless is great. For the price of a valve index you can get the Q3, a m3 pro strap with battery, a d-link VR Air bridge to get wifi6 exclusive wireless connection and some games. and money to spare.
Thoughts on the Quest 3 vs the Valve Index? : r/virtualreality - Reddit
2023年9月30日 · By then we'll have the thoughts of people who have used Quest 3 for a few weeks and possibly Steam VR 2.0 might be out of Beta. If people can stand to wait longer, the Somnium One is still supposedly set to release before the end of the year and that is a more straight-forward Index replacement seeing as it is also Lighthouse tracked.
Any new developments for the Valve Deckard? : r/ValveIndex
Valve already makes VR headsets Headset. They only made one headset. 5 years ago. They were in a frenzy to do all sorts of things, Steam VR Home and games but they just stopped. The most we got is updates to SteamVR. The company at large lost interest. Andy yes, they also helped HTC make the Vive. HTC owns that.
POSTING IT AGAIN: YES, you can cleanly add Eye and Face
It's my understanding that the intention of eyetrack vr at the moment is immersion in social vr like VRChat via OSC: but they are working towards VRSS2 dynamic foveated rendering which works in a ton of titles and currently works PRE-APPLICATION via virtual desktop on a quest pro, in EVERY game- giving you insane resolution for free (minus the ...
