The Victoria Falls Bridge crosses the Zambezi River just below the Victoria Falls and is built over the Second Gorge of the falls. As the river forms the border between Zimbabwe and Zambia, the bridge links the two countries and has border posts on the approaches to both ends, at the towns of Victoria Falls, Zimbabwe, and Livingstone, Zambia.

The famous Victoria Falls Bridge is the second most visited landmark after the waterfall. This steel construction spans the gorge below the falls.

Constructed from steel, the Bridge is 198 metres (650 ft) long with the main arch spanning 156.50 metres (513.5 ft) at a height of 128 metres (420 ft) above the Zambezi River. It is a road, a railway and a foot-bridge. The Bridge is the only rail link between Zambia and Zimbabwe and one of only three road links between the two countries.

Located in southern Africa, Victoria Falls is among the largest in the world — a sheet of water nearly a mile in width and falling twice the height of Niagara Falls.

The Victoria Falls Bridge, the first from the head of the river, carries rail, road, and foot traffic between Zambia and Zimbabwe. The dam wall at Kariba is heavily used by road traffic, and a road bridge at Chirundu, Zimb., also connects the two countries.

Spectacular views from the bridge towards the boiling pot as the Zambezi River surges down the first gorge. Constructing the bridge was a remarkable achievement in 1904-5 which required great organisational ability to bring all the materials from the UK and assemble the engineering team in this spot where wild animals still roamed.

The Victoria Falls Bridge at the time it was built was the highest railway bridge in the world and is the second most visited landmark in Victoria Falls.
