I was first introduced to Welcome Home watching Night Mind's video going through the website. My initial takeaway aligns with MatPat's conclusion that Home (or whatever lurks in the abyss below) is an entity. Thus the phrase "welcome home" is meant to invoke/invite/conjure said entity.

Welcome Home is this neat little ARG website. It's about some lost Sesame Street-esque puppet show, and it's pretty interesting. There's a video of another YouTuber going through the website, and I thought it might be interesting enough for a theory. I think that it's ongoing, though, not finished, Here's the video, for anyone who's interested!

2023年10月5日 · In the ARG: Welcome Home is a mysterious children's television program based around a bunch of colorful puppets living in a neighborhood (like Sesame Street but smaller). It is what we call "Lost Media" as much of the show has been lost to time, with only various concept art, occasional merch and other related items being found so far.

2023年3月22日 · Welcome Home's problems started when they had hit it big. The money they were raking in was, I would assume, akin to Muppet money. Star Wars Cameo Muppet Money. So much money that it lead to a boon in merchandising, brand deals, magazine ad spots, paper craft toys. The WHOLE caboodle. The creative team on Welcome Home flourished at first.

2023年4月10日 · There are two things that confuse me. First: are the characters just Puppets or are they alive. Second: Most people who were children in the early 1970s are still alive and would remember the show. Some may still own Welcome Home merchandise.
