What grandpa Hyou was teaching Luffy is basically advanced armament haki, but he directly refers to it as advanced Ryuu. I think what Sabo did was a mix of adv. armament haki and his martial art.

Crocodile not having Haki is not really a plot hole. As I mentioned in another comment, we know that characters without Haki can beat Haki users. So it's perfectly possible for Crocodile to have went to the New World, learning about the existence of Haki but without learning how to use it, and still be strong enough to defeat some Haki users there.

2020年4月1日 · I think their fighting prowess weakened because they became over-reliant on their DF powers. For example, if haki is just simply like armor as Rayleigh explained although it proves more protection it wouldn't make you stronger. So I wouldn't be off putting if to me if it was revealed Buggy had haki the whole time because Luffy was still stronger.

2022年3月18日 · Haki was there pre timeskip, it’s just Strawhats weren’t using it. WB crew mentions haki multiple times, and there’s obviously the “Luffy unleashing Conquerors moment” in Marineford. And Ace didn’t die because “Lava is better than fire”, Ace died because he wasn’t using his intangibility to protect Luffy.
