The weight is definitely heavier than a regular straw hat, as I used an already made hat as a base and stitched the raffia onto it, however it is not so heavy to a point that it is uncomfortable or impractical to wear. Some more detailed images can be seen on my other posts on the method to stitch this pattern into the hat.

Jinbe took a hole in his chest, gave his blood to Luffy, left Sun Pirate to join Strawhat, remove his affiliation with Big Mom Pirate, all before joining Straw Hat.
