2003年10月2日 · Here's the deal. In our County, the fire building is known as sides 1, 2, 3, and 4 with side 1 being the address side of the structure then going clockwise around the structure. Recently, I was advised that a company in our County is going to change how they name the sides of a structure.

2001年11月7日 · The term "street-side" to me is incorrect as many buildings in our jurisdiction either face more then one major street (kitty-corner) or are in complexes that have a common addresses (shopping malls and multi building industrial sites) or street address that is different from the "frontage" of the occupancy.

2004年4月10日 · Side "A" is usually the 'front' or 'address' side of the building. Then you letter the sides clockwise. So if you are facing the building on side A, to the left is B, the rear is C, and the right is D.

It is now manditory that you adopt and train all personel in NIMS, if you want federal money, so that should help clear up confusion on the subject. What happens when there are no numbers on the building or the building is built at an angle to the road so that two walls are equally facing the road?

2010年1月15日 · Going clockwise, the alpha side is the front of the building. left side is bravo, rear is charlie, right is delta. Using a, b, c and d to describe the sides can be confusing , as b, c and d sound a lot alike.. add adrenalin and fireground noise, it becomes unintelligible gibberish.
