Mystic Gohan, officially known as Ultimate Gohan, is the name given to Gohan after he has his potential unlocked by Elder Kai. The Elder Kai performed a ritual on Gohan which allowed Gohan to tap into his hidden potential, giving him a massive power boost, much stronger than his current strongest form Super Saiyan 2.

According to one guide, under Gohan's usage Ultimate is a super transformation different from Super Saiyan, being a branch-off of Super Saiyan 2 that is referred to as "Gohan-type Super Saiyan 2".
