2005年5月18日 · I've noticed that Southerners seem to call everything perch, whether they're in the perch family or not. My father-in-law does that, too, and it drives me nuts when he's fishing up here in the land of yellow perch, walleye, saugers and saugeye - all members of the true perch family. IMO, for their size, you can't beat the fight in a bluegill.

2021年12月15日 · I have a local lake that actually has panfish: crappie, gills and sun perch. The most activity I see is in the thickest, nastiest "unfishable" masses of weeds and muck. The only way I have gotten a strike was with a topwater plug moved very slowly over the muck before it got too gummed up.

I caught 30 sun perch yesterday at our local country club lake in Franklin, Texas. they are hard to clean for people who have not cleaned fish in over 50 years, but it was well worth the time and effort. they were some of the best eating, (except for catfish). every time I cast my line i got a strike. 2007年5月9日 · The Shell Cracker is lighter in color & has a Orange "ear bob" & is more of a slimer fish , the Blue gill is darker in color & its Ear Bob is dark blue or black , the larger Blue Gill look almost like they have ran into a wall & pushed thier noses back into thier bodys
