Tent Camping – Drive-In Campsites Paddy's Creek Access Only The Paddy's Creek access has 33 drive-in sites that are perfect with families with lots of camping gear.

All North Carolina state park campgrounds are designated for recreation only. A single campsite can be reserved for a maximum of 14 consecutive nights within any 30-day period. Upon reaching that limit, a camper must vacate the park for 16 nights before returning. Reservations can be made up to 6 months in advance. Changes and Cancellations

Parkers Creek has six campsites available for group tent camping. Vista Point also offers five group tent campsites. Drinking water and showers are located nearby.

Trails lead to picturesque mountain views, rock outcrops, waterfalls, and even a mountain cave. Some are open to horseback riding and mountain biking, and a portion is part of the Mountains-to-Sea State Trail. Campgrounds, a swim lake, and access to paddling on the Dan River complete the gamut of recreational opportunities.

Some campsites, facilities, and activities are not available year-round. Please check the park website or contact the park for seasonal opening and closing dates of campgrounds, swimming areas, boat rentals, and other facilities, as they may vary each year.
