2010年8月22日 · In 1965 they were native to St.Clair Co.Mo.( around the Big Sac river). I don't know how they got there but i got introduced to them the hard way,when i took my Midnight bees there to work the river bottoms and they mated with the german black bee drones.

2009年5月26日 · The new bees are your typical lighter colored Itialian. So, the only way I can see a new queen having the genetics from the black bees would be to make a split quickly and hope that some of the black drones mate with the virgin queen once they hatch. I think it may be too late for that given the black bees are on the decline.

Even though they are open mated and I also have the regular colored bees in the other hives. I can really tell a difference in the attitude of the black bees, they work hard and are very gentle. The bees are also smaller than my other bees.
